The boy, Michael Rangel, was found by officers sitting on a couch in the street around the 7100 block of Avenue C just after 5 a.m.

An Amber Alert was issued when the boy was taken from his home around 4 p.m. the day before, police said.

Jorge Gomez, 39, was the mother’s boyfriend and was arrested for taking the child.

Charges are still pending but Michael was not harmed and is back with his mother.

The incident happened on February 4 at the Bridge Water Apartment complex.

The victim reported a man grabbing her as she exited her apartment.  After struggling with the suspect, she was able to break free and call 911.

The suspect is still at large and is described as being around 5 feet 5 inches tall with a medium, athletic build.  He is believed to be in his mid to late 20s, had short blond hair that was combed forward and light colored eyes.

The victim said the suspect had several tattoos on his arms, including one on his forearm that had blueish flames up to his elbow.

49-year-old Frederick Mueller was arrested Tuesday and charged with murder of his late wife.

The cause of death of the wife was originally thought to have been from a hiking accident in Colorado.  A Colorado lawyer now has evidence that points to drowning as being the cause of death.

An arrest warrant was issued and Mueller was picked up on Monday.

Harris County Police arrested and charged Cory Christopher Bonnefin with accident involving injury on Saturday.  He is currently in custody at the Harris County Detention Facility waiting for his court date.

The incident happened Thursday night around 6:30pm on South Mason Road in Katy.  When police arrived at the scene they found the body of Irene Bourgeois.

Investigators determined that Bourgeois was hit by a dark green pickup truck which did not stop after colliding with the elderly woman.

The man held up the Comerica Bank on the southwest freeway Thursday around noon.

Investigators say that he didn’t have a weapon but instead he simply smiled and demanded money from a teller.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

Deputies arrived at 8800 block of Airline to find two people shot to death in a parking lot shortly after 7p.m.

Witnesses say that the two men began arguing with the suspect when the suspect began shooting at the men in a crowded parking lot.

The two men were pronounced dead at the scene.  The suspect is still on the loose.

Williams Jhonatan Rodrigues, Jonathan Bolz and Alexis Torres, all 19-year-old, were charged with murder of 25-year-old Omar Malik.

Investigators say that neighbors saw Malik arriving at his home in the 4400 block of Sloangate around 1a.m. the morning of his death.  Shortly after his arrival they reported hearing gunshots.

Malik was found dead in front of his home.

According to court documentation, the three men were trying to rob Malik when the shooting occurred.

Louis Rojas, 24, has been charged with shooting and killing his ex-wife’s husband, Louis Ernesto Lopera, around 5:30pm on December 31, 2011.

Rojas was at his ex-wife’s house talking to her about their 5-year-old daughter.  According to investigators, Rojas shot Lopera multiple times and then fled the scene.

Lopera, 41, was found mortally wounded near the 18000 block of Wildcombe Drive where he was taken to the hospital but died later that day.

According to an arrest affidavit, Bradley Bendele runs a mobile day care business and looked after the child.

The affidavit states that Bendele had continuously sexually assaulted the boy and threatened to kill him and his family if he told anybody.  The victim told his mother about the incidents and the mother contacted the police.
