Houston man charged in robbery, shooting that left victim paralyzed

Brandon Lamar Mohammed, 25, and another suspect approached the victim in a condominium complex in the 8900 block of South Braeswood on November 22, 2011.

The victim told police that the conversation started to feel uncomfortable so he got in his car to leave.  This is when Mohammed pulled out a gun and demanded money.

As the victim put the car in drive and began to drive away, Mohammed told the other suspect to “just shoot him.”

The fleeing man then got out of his car to run from the scene on foot when he was shoot in the spine.

Mohammed was charged with the crime on December 1, 2011.
